
Sweet Heat Protein Bowl
This Proteinful version of the viral cottage cheese bowl hits every note — creamy, savory, sweet, and spicy. It layers lean ground beef, roasted sweet potatoes, avocado, and cottage cheese under a drizzle of hot honey for a macro-friendly meal that’s both delicious and muscle-fueling.

- 1 Cast Iron Skillet
Ingredients
- 1 lb extra lean ground beef
- 4 cups low fat cottage cheese
- 2 avocados medium
- 300 g sweet potato about 2 medium-sized
- 1 can black beans
- 4 tbsp hot honey drizzle
- 2 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
- 1 pack taco seasoning I recommend Kinder's "The Taco Blend"
- chili flakes to taste
- cilantro chopped, to taste
- 1 jalapeño peppers sliced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F
- Clean and chop the sweet potatoes into bite-sized pieces, then toss in a bowl with the olive oil and spread out on a sheet pan. Put the sheet pan in the oven when it's heated and roast for around 30 minutes or until desired consistency.
- Drain and rinse the black beans and set aside
- Cut the avocado into slices or bite-sized pieces and set aside
- While the potatoes are roasting, cook the ground beef in your skillet and season with taco seasoning following the package instructions
- When the potatoes and beef are done cooking, evenly divide the sweet potatoes, ground beef, avocado cottage cheese, and black beans, and organize into sections in serving bowls.
- Sprinkle red chili flakes, sliced jalapenos, and fresh cilantro, as desired
- Drizzle with hot honey for an extra kick of sweet heat and enjoy!
